  Welcome to Mordor proper. You're certainly being pursued after the big stink
you just raised in the tunnel, and a hue and cry is going up about you. There
is no going back now as you realize that the mountains and stronghold
confronting you aren't made to keep enemies out, but to keep folks like you
in. You have two choices. North toward the tower of Cirith Ungol, or East onto
the bridge you can just make out in the gloom in front of you. Although the
tower is unguarded to your eye, the statues on either side of its door give
off an aura of watchfulness. It's almost as though they lived.
